Grievance Process

This policy establishes a fair and transparent process for addressing workplace concerns, including discrimination, harassment, and other employment-related issues.


Procedure

  1. Informal Resolution

    • Employees are encouraged to discuss concerns with their immediate supervisor or the Designated Officer when appropriate.

  2. Formal Complaint

    • If the issue is not resolved informally, the complainant may submit a written complaint including:

      • Name and contact information

      • Description of the concern

      • Date(s) and individuals involved

      • Desired resolution

    • Complaints should be submitted to the Designated Officer or directly to the Board Chair if the Designated Officer is involved.

  3. Investigation and Response

    • The Designated Officer will initiate an investigation within five (5) business days and provide a written response outlining findings and any corrective action.

  4. Appeal

    • If unsatisfied, the complainant may appeal to the Board of Directors within five (5) business days of receiving the response.

    • The Board will issue a final written decision within ten (10) business days.


Confidentiality and Non-Retaliation

All complaints will be handled with discretion. Retaliation for raising concerns or participating in an investigation is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action.
