Manifesto

We acknowledge the profound societal importance of child safety and the complex web of factors that can lead to child abuse and neglect. We see the heavy toll of substance abuse, the struggles of untreated mental health disorders, the isolation caused by limited family support, and the relentless pressure of housing instability and high poverty rates. These are not just statistics; they are lived realities that create environments where children are additionally vulnerable.

Humility

Humility is the posture that allows us to listen first, to recognize the limits of our own understanding, and to place the needs of others above our assumptions. From humility flows empathy: a readiness to value every voice, every disclosure, and every missed opportunity as a chance to learn and improve. This spirit guides our focus on the people at the center of this critical work.

For Child Protection Workers

We understand the weight child protection workers carry: the burden of processing complex and traumatic information under strict time constraints, the exhaustion from managing surges of referrals, and the pressure to make fast, high-stakes decisions with limited or incomplete information. CSF was designed to reduce these burdens, by creating an ecosystem where the work of protecting children is a shared community responsibility.

For Children

We recognize the pain and fear that millions of children live with each day when they are not safe, or when their experiences are dismissed, minimized, or misunderstood. CSF exists to ensure children’s concerns are heard, believed, and addressed through clear, actionable reporting and timely response.

For Caregivers

We see the caregivers who are trying but struggling. Many face significant life stress: poverty, housing instability, and mental health challenges that affect their ability to provide safe, consistent care. Some need help but do not know where to turn. CSF recognizes that supporting families is part of protecting children and that early intervention should begin with understanding, not punishment.

For The Public

We hear the frustration of teachers, neighbors, and community members who care enough to speak up but feel unheard. Often, their concerns are not acted on, not because they do not matter, but because they may lack critical information or fall outside legal definitions. CSF was created to help the public report more clearly, understand what qualifies as abuse or neglect, and feel confident that their concern is being taken seriously.

Our Commitment

Our work will always be rooted in this spirit of humility: laboring to bring change and healing while carefully considering the impact of our actions, programs, and designs on those we serve. We commit to work that is redemptive, not retributive; work that seeks justice in ways that create safety for children and strengthen the well-being of families and communities.
